Whether they live in our homes or in the wild, Subaru is committed to keeping all animals safe and healthy.
Loving the environment means more than loving the great outdoors. It means working to preserve it.
It’s our goal to make the pursuit of knowledge available to as many minds as possible.
In a perfect world, hunger would be history and hope would be commonplace. We believe a perfect world is possible.
We should all have a chance to lead a healthy life. We’re aiming to give as many people that chance as we can.
For over 70 years The Gerald Family has been dedicated to helping make a positive change in the lives of others by supporting our local communities and charitable organizations. We believe in the good work of the charities and groups we support and stand behind their efforts to make a difference in our communities.
The Downtown St. Charles Partnership is so appreciative of the partnership with Gerald Subaru, North Aurora as the Presenting Sponsor for our Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade 2017! The St. Patrick's Day Parade, held annually in Downtown St. Charles, has become a family tradition. Thousands of people of all ages line Main Street to watch melodic strains of the Celtic pipe bands and enjoy all that this parade has to offer. The Downtown St. Charles Partnership (DSCP) is a volunteer-driven non-profit organization dedicated to the ongoing revitalization of Downtown St. Charles. We work closely with the City of St. Charles Economic Development assisting new and existing businesses in downtown St. Charles. We are thrilled to have Gerald Subaru's support in bringing this amazing event to St. Charles. We are devoted to enhancing downtown St. Charles' identity and invite all to come Discover Your City Side in Downtown St. Charles! Thank you again to Gerald Subaru, North Aurora for your generous partnership!
The African phrase, It Takes Village, is a Families Helping Families favorite because it succinctly identifies the long-term hard work of volunteers, as well as the ongoing generosity of others in our “village” of Naperville. Gerald Subaru of Naperville—a Gold level donor-- is among our most enduring and generous donors to our organization. Families Helping Families provides—among many other services—housing, educational and job support and mentoring for ten formerly homeless women and their children as they complete their education. Their goal: self-sufficiency— having the ability to work and provide healthy lives for themselves and their children. The donations Gerald Subaru of Naperville have contributed to the FHF program by helping us pay for clients’ rent and utilities. In addition, Gerald Subaru has very generously helped secure safe cars for our clients. Without those cars, many of our clients would not have had the transportation they need to get to their jobs and classes, and would not have been able to reach that goal of self-sufficiency. We—the board, mentors and numerous other FHF volunteers—are so very grateful to Gerald Subaru for partnering with us. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
Make-A-Wish thanks Gerald Subaru of North Aurora and Gerald Subaru in Naperville for their participation and sponsorship of the sixth annual Penguin Plunge in Ottowa, Il. In frosty 17 degree temperatures, over 400 brave participants jumped in to the frigid waters of the Heritage Harbor to raise over $160,000 for Make-A-Wish Illinois. Gerald Subaru contributed an event sponsorship and were on-site at the event handing out towels to the jumpers. Nationally, Subaru supports Make-A-Wish through the holiday Share the Love event. Customers who purchased or leased a new Subaru vehicle could select from a list of charities to receive a $250 donation from Subaru of America. Last year in Illinois, the efforts of local dealerships raised over $80,000 for Make-A-Wish Illinois through Share the Love, and over $3 million nation-wide. Make-A-Wish uses these funds to grant incredible wishes to children battling life-threatening illnesses, to provide them with hope, strength and joy.
Gerald Subaru has been instrumental in providing continuous support to our outdoor concert series at RiverEdge Park in Aurora, IL. Opening in 2013, RiverEdge Park draws over 100,000 patrons to Downtown Aurora each summer, a feat that could not be accomplished without the collaboration from our wonderful partners. The importance of enhancing the art and culture scene lies in the continuous effort to revitalize the downtown Aurora area. Through Gerald Subaru’s generosity, we can continue to provide phenomenal entertainment at an affordable price, and offer free and inexpensive events to our community. The RiverEdge Park staff truly appreciates the opportunity to work with Gerald Subaru, and look forward to a continued partnership as our patronage continues to grow!
Gerald Subaru has graciously supported our concerts at Arranmore Farm & Polo Club for the past 5 seasons. Through their generous support, we are able to bring our CabCab concert series to the community. These open-air musical events are held on the pristine, expansive lawn of Arranmore Farm & Polo Club. Families are treated to an eclectic mix of music performed by our favorite, hand-selected performers who have come together to form the one-of-a-kind cover band. Some of our favorite scenes are seeing young children dance with their parents or grandparents, young mothers dancing with their newborns in the back field (saying- thank you—it’s been months since I’ve been out!), neighbors coming together, birthday traditions, first dates- people just enjoying an incredible evening together. Having grown up in Naperville, it’s inspiring to see how the the Gerald's love our town and they continue to enhance our lives. For that, I’m truly grateful. Shannon Greene Robb
For many years Gerald Subaru has supported our Swedish Days Festival. This support has allowed us to give our community non-profits the opportunity to raise funds by operating the festival food booths. These non-profit organizations in turn support over 35 different charities including local ones such as CASA Kane County, Hesed House, Lazarus House, Literacy Volunteers Fox Valley, Northern IL Food Bank and many more. The support from Gerald Subaru has created a win-win for our community and the festival.
Gerald Subaru of North Aurora committed to being a premiere partner of Batavia MainStreet for the 2016 Season. The Batavia MainStreet program is a not-for-profit, community-based organization devoted to enhancing downtown Batavia’s identity as the heart of the community through dedicated volunteer efforts. With Gerald’s generous contribution, MainStreet is able to create a unique and vital downtown that enriches the business community, embraces history, celebrates the arts, preserves our natural environment and promotes quality events to instill a ‘sense of place’ in our community. Gerald Subaru of North Aurora not only contributed financially to our community organization, Amanda actively participates in each community event by providing assistance by marketing our programs to a larger demographic, being present and onsite to interact with our community members and even contributing fun items for the families to take home! Gerald Subaru also stepped up as Stage Presenting Sponsor for our newest community event, OktoberFest. Not only is Gerald Subaru of North Aurora graciously supporting this event, but they are collaborating with Gerald Subaru of Naperville to make sure that our community feels the full love and support of the Love Subaru Promise! Our next vehicles will surely be from Gerald Subaru of North Aurora!
As part of its ongoing support of local communities, Gerald Subaru of North Aurora and Subaru of America, Inc. presented a check for $7,974 to Living Well Cancer Resource Center. Living Well was selected by Gerald Subaru as their Hometown Charity choice for Subaru's Share the Love event. From November 30, 2015 to January 4, 2016, customers who purchased or leased a new Subaru vehicle selected from a list of charities to receive a donation of $250 from Subaru of America. Subaru retailers also elected to add a local charity to help support their community and Gerald Subaru of North Aurora selected Living Well Cancer Resource Center as it's hometown charity and listed it as an organization that customers could select to receive the 2015 Subaru Share the Love donation. Living Well serves as a vital component to comprehensive cancer care and stands as a gathering place that provides comfort and community to anyone experiencing the effects of cancer. Gerald believes in the good work that Living Well provides and stands by the charity's efforts to make a difference in the local community. The check was presented to Lisa Collins, board member from Living Well by Donna Lawler and Doug Gerald from Gerald Subaru of North Aurora and Marcus Trucco and Ryan Blankenship from Subaru of America.
Gerald Subaru recently choose CASA Kane County to be the local charity in the "Share the Love" Event. This event offered the opportunity for new car buyers to select a charity- local and national - to receive $250 for each car sold. "It was an honor to have been chosen by Gerald Subaru as the local charity for this fantastic event", said Lori Hewitt, Director of Development for CASA Kane County. "Gerald Subaru and the entire Subaru team were wonderful to work with through the entire event," Hewitt continued. "We were able to come in and speak to the sales team in the dealership to help them learn a little more about what we do and the children we advocate for. That way the sales team was able to answer any questions the new car owners might have had when choosing their favorite charity. This event not only helped to raise funds for CASA Kane County but it also helped in raising awareness to our mission. CASA receives no State or Federal funding and is solely supported by fundraising events, grants and private donations so this event helped in educating the public about what we do throughout all of Kane County" Hewitt continued to say. CASA Kane County is a nonprofit, volunteer organization that advocates for the best interests of abused and neglected children within the Juvenile Court system. Gerald Subaru has been a longtime supporter of CASA Kane County and continues to give back to the community in many ways.
